Janet Pinder

Jan is the owner of Byway Holiday Tours and it will usually be Jan you speak to on the phone.  Jan also guides the North and East of England tours. Jan was involved in the holiday business before having her children, Jack and Mark, who are now grown up. In her spare time she can be found supporting Carlisle United with her younger son.

Kevin Hall

Kevin will be leading some of our Welsh tours as well at our Scottish tour in 2011. Kevin has a wealth of knowledge to share with you in the history, geology, flora, fauna, language and so much more for all his tours whether in Wales or Scotland. Kevin likes nothing more than taking you far from the usual tourist trail to discover the ‘real’ parts of the areas you visit.

Stephen Rees-Jones

Stephen will be leading our South West  Tours this year.  Living on Exmoor he is a mind of information on the South West and can spot birds and wildlife long before the rest of us. 

When not travelling around in a minibus Stephens real passion is canals and he can often be found messing about on a canal boat  or looking after his grandchildren.

Catherine Murphy

As a country girl Catherine studied biological sciences and ecology. She has worked with many groups sustaining, enhancing and enjoying the landscape.

Catherine has guided tours exploring specialist plants and animals, food from the hedgerows, ancient and modern buildings and at the moment she is working on conservation projects and leisure business schemes within the National Trust.
